Our Story

Thanks for taking the time to find out where Lovie and Friends came from.

We are a small family business that started off creating hand knitted Lovies and amigurumi style crochet plushies. It wasn’t long before we added 3d printed items to our collection and they instantly proved to be a huge hit! We love that each creation is as unique as you are.

We take pride in the quality of our products, with every single item being made by us at our home in the Illawarra.

This little business started in September 2023 with a desire to make a yarn Lovie doll for a Christmas gift for my newest granddaughter which then became an irresistible desire for our older granddaughter. Soon after, we were approached by others looking for their own special, one of a kind item and Lovie and Friends was born.

But why ‘Lovie and Friends’? The first part is easy - the original dolls are Lovies. As I played with different styles, their friends were created. And BAM, Lovie and Friends.

At our first market event, we also took along some 3d printed items to sell as an alternative for people who stopped at our table but didnt need Lovies. This was an absolute hit! So now, Lovies are always a part of our stall, along with many different amigurimi plushies, but 3d is the winning product for so many.

Friends come in all shapes and sizes. Some made with yarn, and some 3d printed. But the most important friends for us are YOU. The person who comes to our website. The person who follows us on instagram or facebook. The person who comes to see us at one of our markets

It brings us so much joy finding each of these Lovies and their friends a home. We can’t wait for you to get yours!
